GROTESQUE presenta "Sgnaz!"

Secondo appuntamentus grottescus su Linus. A seguito di un maldestro esperimento, il nostro vecchio prof si ritrova visavì con un'inquieta scheggia della sua infanzia tornata a pestargli i piedi nel presente. Che fare quando il passato torna a bussare? Soccombere o reagire? Comprare Linus di gennaio, tanto per cominciare. Il resto fra le sue pagine, a seguire. E fra due mesi: il dottor Poliedricus!

Rimanendo in tema, recupero un recensione scovata da un mio allievo nientepopodimeno che su un numero di FilmTV (!?), uscito subito dopo la premiazione di Lucca 09

e segnalo che nella terra a stelle e strisce Tucker Stone ha inserito Grotesque#3 fra i suoi 25 migliori fumetti del 2009:

"Grotesque is an Italian comic, which automatically makes me a jerk for liking it as much as I do. It has a bunch of characters that look like they should be in Dick Tracy, except Dick Tracy would wet his yellow pants and cry like The Notebook if he ran into them. They live in a weird city, they curse, and one of them gets in a fight with a living headstone. The art looks like the offspring of Seth and Jim Woodring, but considering its country of origin, it's probably wrapped up in a legacy only the bilingual could explain. It doesn't happen every week, it's not even on a monthly schedule, but every once in a while, I get a reminder how vast the world of comics really is. Invece fuori tema, dopo la prima esposizione a Riga in Lettonia, a Lisbona sta invece per replicare la mostra "The Last Match", ampliata e ribattezzata per l'occasione "O Último Fósforo". Dal 16 gennaio all'8 febbraio.

Ancor più fuori tema, la cover di "I sette nani lavoravano ma biancaneve l'ha data al principe" è finita fra le gnocche di Playboy. E so' soddisfazioni.
